Amy has been a hair stylist at Edwin Paul Salon since 1999. She completed an extensive two year salon apprenticeship rather than going to cosmetology school. During this training program she attended many outside of salon cosmetology classes and shows. Among these was the Vidal Sassoon hands on cutting and styling class which trains the stylist in balance and precision haircutting. After completing. this program, Amy acquired her own chair at the Edwin Paul Salon. She has had the opportunity to be behind the scenes doing hair at fashion shows, attend color formulation and technique classes, and also several cutting and styling classes.
Her list of education beyond a cosmetology license is as follows: Martin Parsens Bridal and Styling class: Vidal Sassoon Classic Cutting and Creative Cutting (attended twice); Michael Cole Training, Paul Mitchell Cut and Color training (with Robert Cromeans); Redken Color & Cutting Training; Schwarzkopf Color training classes; and Profound Cutting classes in Chicago. She attends Maly's show yearly for spring/fall Cut & Color launch, and Kerestase product knowledge courses.
"I really enjoy attending continuing education classes. Styles are always changing and I am always ready to learn something new. The overall transformation created with cut and color is what makes my job fun." (Amy)
