If I noticed anything about salons as a kid or still today, it is that they stink. Perms, colors, hairsprays and chemicals are all the reasons why. That is not the case at Edwin Paul. When I made the commitment years ago to make sure staff and clients would only breathe clean air, I did my homework. I decided on the Austin Air cleaners for us. They are rated number one, a favorite choice in burn units and for SARS patients. They remove VOC’s, sprays, chemical odors, even formaldehyde. Rather than a suggested single unit, I bought four. That equals enough air cleaning for 8,000 square feet. This salon is 1,500. Along with that I have added an exhaust on the roof that constantly exchanges stale air.
